Schindler's Factory in Krakow: Tickets, Time Slots and How to Add Kazimierz
Updated October 13, 2026 · 6 min read
For most visitors the best single booking is the Schindler’s Factory and Ghetto small group tour, €44.41, three hours. The entry ticket and a live guide are included, the group is capped at 14, and it continues from the museum into the former Krakow Ghetto. If you only want the museum, with or without a guide, read on: the cheaper routes are simple once you know the museum’s own rules.
What you are actually visiting
The Oskar Schindler’s Enamel Factory museum sits at ul. Lipowa 4 in Podgórze, a branch of the Museum of Krakow. Its permanent exhibition covers Krakow under Nazi occupation from 1939 to 1945. One booking page makes the point plainly: the museum is mostly about wartime Krakow, with Schindler forming one part of the exhibition. Reviewers on another page say the same, and some wish they had known before they came. Expect photographs, documents, reconstructed streets and multimedia displays rather than a factory floor or a retelling of the film.
The museum’s own rules
These come from the museum, not from a tour operator:
- Hours. Tuesday to Sunday 9:00 AM–8:00 PM. Monday 10:00 AM–3:00 PM. Last entry is 1.5 hours before closing.
- Closed on the first Tuesday of each month and on some public holidays; check the museum’s calendar for your date.
- Prices. A normal ticket is 60 PLN, a reduced ticket 45 PLN, and a family ticket for up to four people 120 PLN.
- Monday. Admission to the permanent exhibition is free on Mondays, but those tickets cannot be booked in advance, and the number is limited.
- Online. Tickets go on sale online 90 days before the visit, and online sales close six hours before.
- Guide. The museum itself runs an English-language guided tour Tuesday to Sunday at 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM, at 90 PLN (75 PLN reduced).
The options compared

| Factory and Ghetto small group tour | Museum plus a walk through the former ghetto | 3 hours | €44.41 |

Read the cheaper listing carefully
The €17.10 guided tour is the most reviewed way to see the museum with a guide, with 4,880 reviews. Its price pays for the guide. The listing offers two options: Admission Included, or Ticket Purchased on Arrival, where your guide helps you buy the ticket at the museum’s standard 60 PLN. The booking page also notes that waiting time at the ticket office varies with visitor numbers. If you choose the second option, add the ticket to the sum before comparing it with the €44.41 all-in tour.
The skip-the-line ticket is the one to take if you want no guide and no ticket-office queue. The tickets arrive by email or WhatsApp the day before, you must bring your physical ID or passport, and the listing is non-refundable. One reviewer says the ticket sent to the phone did not let them in by itself and they had to find the representative outside the museum; read the instructions in the confirmation carefully.
Putting Kazimierz on the same day
Schindler’s Factory is in Podgórze, across the Vistula from Kazimierz, the former Jewish quarter. The Schindler’s story walk starts outside the factory on Lipowa Street, goes through Podgórze and over the Piłsudski Bridge, and ends on Szeroka Street in Kazimierz. It does not enter the museum, so it complements a museum ticket rather than replacing it. Roughly an hour is spent in the ghetto area and an hour in Kazimierz.
For a plan with no dead ends, visit the museum in the morning and take the Jewish Quarter and Former Ghetto tour in the afternoon. It meets in front of the Old Synagogue at ul. Szeroka 24, lasts 2.5 hours and costs €15.96. Leave at least an hour between the two for the crossing and a meal.
Which to book
- One booking, one afternoon, the full picture: the Factory and Ghetto small group tour. Its listing is non-refundable.
- Museum only, with a guide: the €17.10 guided tour, with the ticket option decided before you pay.
- Museum only, alone: buy the ticket from the museum itself, or take the skip-the-line ticket, and avoid Mondays unless the free admission is worth a queue.
